PLUS
The Plus tier is our lowest residential DOCSIS 3.0 tier. DOCSIS 3.0 means that modems are able to use
multiple downstream frequencies as well as multiple upstream frequencies. It is this technology that
allows us to push more data to the modems and support things like basic streaming video to 1 or 2 devices,
VPNs, online gaming, etc. Unlike the Starter tier, the number of subscribers will not be allowed to exceed
the amount of data that this tier can support. This prevents the "slow-downs" that are seen during busy
times on the Starter tier. The Plus tier provides speeds up to 60 megabits per second down and 10 megabits
per second up. 1 static IP address is available on this tier for an additional $5 per month.
PREMIUM
The Premium tier is our fast residential DOCSIS 3.0 tier. This tier is similar to the Plus tier in that
the number of subscribers will not be allowed to exceed the amount of data that this tier can support. The
Premium tier provides speeds up to 120 megabits per second down and 15 megabits per second up. These speeds
allow for better video streaming to multiple devices at the same time as well as more bandwidth for VPNs,
online gaming and other web-based activities. The Premium tier includes 1 static IP address free for those
customers who need it and up to two additional static IP address for $5 per month each.
